The idol group who began their official international advance, Starmarie, held their show at KITTING FACTORY, a live music bar in New York, on the night of March 16. As the first idol group to ever perform there, they entertained the local fans.

Starmarie also performed at the biggest music showcase event in the world, SXSW (South by South-West), held in Austin, Texas, on March 11. They costarred with such big-name artists including YOSHIKI and Lady Gaga.

The crowd went wild as the cute trio from Japan stepped onto the stage in New York. The setlist included a cover of SIAM SHADE’s hit number “1/3 no Junjou na Kanjou”. The song is scheduled to be released on March 29 as a part of RE:IDOL Project. The song is widely recognized as an anime song overseas, which will definitely contribute to the group’s further international recognition.

After their 30-minute performance was finished many people waited in line to get their hands on merchandises including CD’s, posters, and photo sets. Starmarie, the first idol group to perform at the venue, was met with a warm welcome as one form of representing Cool Japan.
