Yun*chi performed at a Japanese pop culture event, called Waku Waku + NYC, on August 30 in New York.

The event was held at Brooklyn Bowl, a bowling alley and live house where were Guns N’ Roses and Elvis Costello have performed in the past. Many people interested in Japanese culture attended the event.

Yun*chi appeared in an outfit arranged from a Japanese kimono, and the audience shouted “kawaii~!” and “cool!” She performed “Jelly*”, off of her new album “Pixie Dust*”, for the first time. The album will be released on September 9. Yun*chi performed a total of nine songs, including “Wonderful Wonder World*”, which is the ending theme to anime “Log Horizon”. M-flo’s Taku Takahashi, who also produced “Luck Girl*” (theme song to anime “Wooser’s Hand-to-Mouth Life”), also appeared on stage for a dream collaborative performance.

Fans who wanted to shake Yun*chi’s hand and take her photos, as well as the media, formed long lines to meet her. Yun*chi’s first New York concert ended as a success.
